【摘要】:StandardsofEN50083seriesdealwithcablenetworksfortelevisionsignals,soundsignalsandinteractiveservicesincludingequipment,systemsandinstallationsforheadendreception,processinganddistributionoftelevisionandsoundsignalsandtheirassociateddatasignalsandforprocessing,interfacingandtransmittingallkindsofsignalsforinteractiveservicesusingallapplicabletransmissionmedia.AllkindsofnetworkslikeCATV-networks,MATV-networksandSMATV-networks,Individualreceivingnetworksandallkindsofequipment,systemsandinstallationsinstalledinsuchnetworks,arewithinthisscope.Theextentofthisstandardisationworkisfromtheantennas,specialsignalsourceinputstotheheadendorotherinterfacepointstothenetworkuptothesystemoutletortheterminalinput,wherenosystemoutletexists.Thestandardisationofanyuserterminals(i.e.tuners,receivers,decoders,multimediaterminalsetc.)aswellasofanycoaxialandopticalcablesandaccessoriesthereforisexcluded.Thisstandardappliestoallbroadbandamplifiersusedincablenetworks;coversthefrequencyrange5MHzto3000MHz;appliestoone-wayandtwo-wayequipment;laysdownthebasicmethodsofmeasurementoftheoperationalcharacteristicsoftheactiveequipmentinordertoassesstheperformanceofthisequipment;identifiestheperformancespecificationsthatshallbepublishedbythemanufacturers;statestheminimumperformancerequirementsofcertainparameters.Amplifiersaredividedintothefollowingtwoqualitylevels:Grade1:Amplifierstypicallyintendedtobecascaded.Grade2:Amplifiersforusetypicallywithinanapartmentblock,orwithinasingleresidence,tofeedafewoutlets.Practicalexperiencehasshownthesetypesmeetmostofthetechnicalrequirementsnecessaryforsupplyingaminimumsignalqualitytothesubscribers.Thisclassificationshallnotbeconsideredasarequirementbutastheinformationforusersandmanufacturersontheminimumqualitycriteriaofthematerialrequiredtoinstallnetworksofdifferentsizes.Thesystemoperatorhastoselectappropriatematerialtomeettheminimumsignalqualityatthesubscriber′soutlet,andtooptimisecost/performance,takingintoaccountthesizeofthenetworkandlocalcircumstances.Allrequirementsandpublisheddataareunderstoodasguaranteedvalueswithinthespecifiedfrequencyrangeandinwellmatchedconditions.
