【摘要】:TherulesandinstructionspresentedinthisCodeapplytofiredsteamgenerators.Theseincludecoal,oil,andgas-firedsteamgeneratorsaswellassteamgeneratorsfiredbyotherhydrocarbonfuels.Thescopealsoincludessteamgeneratorswithintegralfuel-sulfurcaptureutilizingchemicalsorbents.Steamgeneratorsthatarenotfiredbycoal,oil,orgasmaybetestedusingtheconceptsofthisCode,butitshouldbenotedthattheuncertaintycausedbyvariabilityofthefuelmaybedifficulttodetermineandislikelytobegreaterthantheuncertaintiesinsamplingandanalysisofcoal,oil,orgas.GasturbineheatrecoveryandotherheatrecoverysteamgeneratorsdesignedtooperatewithsupplementalfiringshouldbetestedinaccordancewithPerformanceTestCode(PTC)4.4,GasTurbineHeatRecoverySteamGenerators.ThisCodedoesnotapplytonuclearsteamsupplysystems,whicharespecificallyaddressedinPTC32.1,NuclearSteamSupplySystems.ThisCodedoesnotapplytotheperformancetestingofchemicalheatrecoverysteamgenerators,municipalwastefiredsteamgenerators,pressurizedsteamgeneratorswithgassidepressuregreaterthanfiveatmospheres,orincinerators.MunicipalwastefiredsteamgeneratorscanbetestedinaccordancewithPTC34,WasteCombustorswithEnergyRecovery.TestingofauxiliaryequipmentisnotaddressedinthisCode,butshallbegovernedbythefollowingPerformanceTestCodesthatapplyspecificallytotheequipmentinquestion:(a)PTC4.2,Pulverizers;(b)PTC4.3,AirHeaters;(c)PTC11,Fans.SteampurityandqualityshallbetestedinaccordancewithPTC19.11,WaterandSteaminthePowerCycle(PurityandQuality,LeakDetectionandMeasurement).MethodsusedbythisCodefordeterminingemissionrelatedparameters(e.g.,sulfurretentionandfluegasconstituents)arenotequivalenttomethodsrequiredbytheU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgency(EPA),NewStationarySourcePerformanceStandards,40CFR60andarenotintendedtobeusedforevaluatingcompliancewiththosestandardsoranyotherenvironmentalregulations.ThisCodedoesnotprescribeproceduresfortestingtodeterminechemicalandphysicalpropertiesoffuels.ApplicableproceduresmaybefoundinthePTC3seriesorotherpertinentstandardssuchasthosepublishedbyASTM.ThisCodespecificallyaddressesequipmentusedforthegenerationofsteam;however,thebasicprinciplespresentedarealsoapplicabletootherworkingfluids.CertaintypesandsizesofequipmentusedfortherecoveryofheatreleasedbycombustionarenotaddressedinanyspecificPerformanceTestCode.ThisCodecanbeusedasageneralguideindevelopingperformancetestsforsuchequipment;however,suchspeciallydevelopedperformancetestsshallnotbeconsideredASMECodetests.
