【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverportable,stationary,andfixedpowerunitshavinganinputratingof600voltsorless,direct-andalternating-current,withatleastoneoutputnotmarkedClass2,andthatareintendedtobeemployedinordinarylocationsinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.1.2Theserequirementscovergeneralpurposepowersuppliesandpowersuppliesforusessuchastosupplysomehouseholdappliances,schoollaboratories,cathodicprotectionequipment;powersupply-batterychargercombinations;andindustrialequipment,includinginverters,dividedintotwoclasses-thoserated10kilovolt-amperesorlessandthoseratedmorethan10kilovolt-amperes.1.3PowerunitswithalloutputsidentifiedasClass2arecoveredundertheStandardforClass2PowerUnits,UL1310.1.4Theserequirementsdonotcoverthefollowingtypesofbatterychargers:a)Batterychargersintendedtochargemotor-startingbatteriesascoveredbyStandardforBatteryChargersforChargingEngine-StarterBatteries,UL1236;b)Batterychargersforchargingindustrialbatterieswhichpowermaterialhandlingtrucks,tractors,personnelcarriers,andsimilarmotiveequipment,ascoveredbytheStandardforIndustrialBatteryChargers,UL1564;c)Chargersorchargingfunctionsincorporatedintoconverterorinvertersforuseinrecreationalvehiclesandboats,ascoveredbytheStandardforPowerConverters/InvertersandPowerConverter/InverterSystemsforLandVehiclesandMarineCrafts,UL458;andd)Chargecontrollersorchargingfunctionsincorporatedintoequipmentforuseinindependentpowersystems,ascoveredbytheStandardforInverters,Converters,andControllersforUseinIndependentPowerSystems,UL1741.1.5Abatterychargernotwhollywithinthescopeofoneofthestandardsspecifiedin1.4shallbeinvestigatedtotherequirementsofthisStandardsupplementedbytheapplicablerequirementsofwhicheverofthestandardsin1.4ismostapplicable.1.6Theserequirementsdonotcoverapowersupplyforafire-protectiveorburglary-protectivesignalingsystem,electrostatic-aircleaningequipment,recreationalvehicles,electricdischargeorneontubing,testequipmentforcommercialorindustriallaboratories;oranapplianceorsysteminwhichthepowersupplyisused.1.7Theserequirementscoverpowersuppliesforcentralizedacordcpowersystems,includingdcpowersupplies,rectifiers,andthelike,thatformpartofthesesystems.1.8Apowersupplythatisintendedforusewithaspecifictypeofproductotherthanasreferencedin1.2isinvestigatedunderthestandardforthatendproduct.1.9Theserequirementsdonotcovertheeffectthatapowersupplymayhaveonanequipmentorasystemtowhichitisconnected.1.10Apowersystem,theprimaryfunctionofwhichismaintainingcontinuityofanalternatingpowersourceincaseofinputpowerfailure,iscoveredundertheStandardforUninterruptiblePowerSystems,UL1778.
