【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftensilebehaviorincludingtensilestrengthandstress-strainresponseundermonotonicuniaxialloadingofcontinuousfiber-reinforcedadvancedceramicsatambienttemperature.Thistestmethodaddresses,butisnotrestrictedto,varioussuggestedtestspecimengeometriesaslistedintheappendix.Inaddition,specimenfabricationmethods,testingmodes(force,displacement,orstraincontrol),testingrates(forcerate,stressrate,displacementrate,orstrainrate),allowablebending,anddatacollectionandreportingproceduresareaddressed.Notethattensilestrengthasusedinthistestmethodreferstothetensilestrengthobtainedundermonotonicuniaxialloadingwheremonotonicreferstoacontinuousnonstoptestratewithnoreversalsfromtestinitiationtofinalfracture.1.2Thistestmethodappliesprimarilytoalladvancedceramicmatrixcompositeswithcontinuousfiberreinforcement:uni-directional(1-D),bi-directional(2-D),andtri-directional(3-D).Inaddition,thistestmethodmayalsobeusedwithglass(amorphous)matrixcompositeswith1-D,2-D,and3-Dcontinuousfiberreinforcement.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddressdirectlydiscontinuousfiber-reinforced,whisker-reinforcedorparticulate-reinforcedceramics,althoughthetestmethodsdetailedheremaybeequallyapplicabletothesecomposites.1.3ValuesexpressedinthistestmethodareinaccordancewiththeInternationalSystemofUnits(SI)andIEEE/ASTMSI10.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSection7and8.2.5.2.
