【摘要】:Measurementsofbendingstrengthandmodulusofelasticityinbendingshouldbemadeformaterialswhoseprincipalstressingmodeisbending.Formanymaterials,thetensileandcompressivemoduliaresomewhatdifferent.Sincethebendingmodulusisacombinationofthetensileandcompressivemoduli,itisoftendifferentfromeachofthem.Precisemeasurementsofthemodulusofelasticityinbendingandbendingstrengthrequiredueregardfornumerousvariablesthatmayaffecttheirdetermination.Theseinclude(1)characteristicssuchasspecimenorientationwithrespecttotherollingdirection,grainsize,residualstresses,previousstrainhistory,dimensionsandspecimenpreparation,orientationofdeformedgrainsrelativetothedirectionofthenormalstress;and(2)testconditions,suchastem-perature,temperaturevariations,conditionofthetestequipmentandadherencetotherecommendedtestprocedure.1.1Thisstandarddescribesthreetestmethodsfordeterminingthemodulusofelasticityinbendingandthebendingstrengthofmetallicstripsorsheetsintendedfortheuseinflatsprings:1.1.1TestMethodA8212;acantileverbeam,1.1.2TestMethodB8212;athree-pointloadedbeam(thatis,abeamrestingontwosupportsandcentrallyloaded),and1.1.3TestMethodC8212;afour-pointloadedbeam(thatis,abeamrestingontwosupportsandloadedattwopointsequallyspacedfromeachsupport).1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.6.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthemodulusofelasticityinbendingandtheoffsetyieldstrengthinbendingofflatmetallicstripsorsheetsforspringapplications.Thetestprocedureinvolvesmeasurementsoftheappliedmomentandthecorrespondingangleofdeflectionofacantileverbeam.Thethicknessrangecoveredis0.015to0.130in.(0.38to3.30mm).Thistestmethodisnotapplicablefornonlinearelasticmaterials.15.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthemodulusofelasticityinbendingandthebendingproofstrengthofflatmetallicstripsorsheetsforspringapplications.Thetestmethodsconsistofdeflectiontestsofasimplebeamconfigurationsubjectedtoeitherthree-orfour-pointsymmetricalloading.Thethicknessrangecoveredis0.010to0.050in.(0.25to1.3mm).Note38212;Thicknessrangesoutsideofthosespecifiedmaybeagreeduponbetweensuppliersandusers.
