【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorymeasurementofboththeacousticalandmechanicalperformanceofpneumaticexhaustsilencersdesignedforquietingcompressedgas(usuallyair)exhaustsfromorificesconnectedtopipesizesupto3/4in.NPT.Thistestmethodisnotapplicableforexhaustsperformingusefulwork,suchaspartconveying,ejection,orcleaning.ThistestmethodevaluatesacousticalperformanceusingA-weightedsoundlevelmeasurements.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection8.
